White Tea Print E-mail

White Tea is the purest form of tea, having undergone the least amount of processing and as a result, this tea contains the most antioxidants and releases the least amount of caffeine.  In fact a cup of White Tea only contains about 1% of the caffeine in a cup of coffee. White Tea generally consists of the young buds of the tea plant, which are covered with a silvery white down, giving the unopened leaf a white appearance.  This special hand picked tea is usually a first flush, early spring harvest and results in limited quantities.  White Teas offer a high antioxidant count, delicate taste, unique body and smooth finish. Due to its high antioxidant content and by simply being a part of the Camellia sinensis family, White Tea has numerous health and wellness benefits attributed to it.
